Charlie Roth is a movement coach whose journey began with a deep fascination for physical disciplines from early childhood. With formal education in Physical Activity and Sports Science and specialized training in Movement Techniques, Charlie's approach transcends traditional physical education boundaries.
After completing his studies at INEF (National Institute of Physical Education), Charlie sought teaching methods and physical development approaches that would encompass the body in a more holistic and integrated way. His learning journey combines self-directed exploration with invaluable guidance from inspiring teachers including Ido Portal, Joseph Bartz, Fighting Monkey, and Tom Weksler.
Charlie's teaching style reflects his diverse background in gymnastics, martial arts, and athletics. Rather than adhering to a single discipline, he focuses on developing general movement capacity, exploring how the body can move in all sorts of different ways. His expertise particularly shines in what he calls 'floor communication' - the art of relating to the ground through various movement patterns, from crawling to rolling.
In his classes, Charlie aims to share his learning journey by providing pathways and tools that promote freedom of movement, both physically and mentally. His teaching emphasizes exploration, curiosity, and the development of new movement vocabularies, making complex movement patterns accessible to practitioners of all levels.
